News Team

The Surge News Team works hards to produce a variety of accurate news content for Southampton University Students, Lectures and Alumni. Through the popular news program "NewsWeek" which broadcasts on Sundays at 1, and podcasts weekly, produce student related news.

NewsWeek won a gold in the Student Radio Awards 2005, and a Bronze in 2006. Its outside broadcast of Elections Night Live 2006 was nominated.

The 25 strong team is lead by Head of News Hannah Green and produced by Henry Brennan. As well as creating NewsWeek, the team is highly sociable and organises regular meetings and socials.
