Thursday the 15th of November was a momentous day for Surge News week, and Surge station in general for that matter, as we attended the annual Student Radio Awards in London's Connaught Rooms, hosted by Radio 1 and the Student Radio Association.

This year Surge bagged three silver awards in Technical, Brand marketing and of course NEWS!! So in conjunction with this achievement we are proud to begin a new era of news on Surge with weekly updates on the news page, a show on both friday and Saturday at 1pm, and a weekly podcast.

A massive thanks go to last years news team and its leader Hannah Green, who have now handed the baton over to Amy Williams and her excellent team of new and old.
