Residents React to Article 4 Direction

In light of the proposed imposition of the Article 4 Direction, Surge News spoke to some of Southampton's residents, to see how they feel about living in the midst of student communities.
The Article 4 Direction, brought into effect in March this year, looks set to change where students are permitted to live in the city. The council implemented it to deal with antisocial behaviour and transience, problems associated with large groups of students, but many have questioned whether the Direction is necessary, even whether it is the council's decision at all.
