Artist Biography
Story of the Year is a post-hardcore band from Saint Louis, Missouri.
The band recorded a few demos before releasing their debut album in 2003 entitled Page Avenue. The first single to come off Page Avenue was called "Until the Day I Die", and was written by the singer Dan Marsala. The single first received airplay in June of 2003, before selling thousands of copies worldwide. To date, Page Avenue has sold 500,000 copies worldwide.
The band have toured with Linkin Park on the Meteora World Tour in 2004 along with P.O.D. and Hoobastank.
On October 12, 2005 Story of the Year released their second album entitled "In the Wake of Determination". This album sold 500,000 copies by December 2005, meaning that it went Gold in under 3 months.
The band was formerly called "Big Blue Monkey", but changed their name due to a blues band called "Blue Monkey").
