Artist Biography

The Spinto Band are an American rock band from Wilmington, Delaware. They have released one album, Nice and Nicely Done on Bar/None in 2005, as well as six other self-released albums starting in the late '90s. Their name is derived from an uncle, Roy Spinto. They play unorthodox instruments such as the kazoo ("Brown Boxes") and the mandolin ("Oh Mandy" - named after the mandolin in the song). Their lyrics are rumored to be derived from old letters found in an attic.
