The Pussycat Dolls are an American female R&B singing group, consisting of lead singer Nicole Scherzinger , as well as Carmit Bachar and Melody Thornton who share back-up, and Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta and Kimberly Wyatt. The Dolls began as a burlesque dance troupe based in Los Angeles, and expanded to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The group, which was founded by choreographer Robin Antin in 1995, released its first single in 2004 titled Dont Cha, which Antin can be seen in the video for.. After the single hit major success, the Doll's album hit platinum. To date they have released 6 singles - Don't Cha, Stickwitu, Beep, Buttons, I Don't Need a Man and Wait A Minute - and 1 album titled PCD. The Pussycat Dolls have also toured with Rihanna, Black Eyed Peas, Beyoncé, Danity Kane and Christina Aguilera.There has been a recent reality tv show to find a new member of the group,The Search for the New Doll, which saw 18-year old single mother Asia Nitollano crowned the winner.
