April - A Surge contingent hit the annual SRA conference in Edinburgh.  - VIEW PICTURES
May - The news team spend an hour grilling all the local candidates for this years general election.
- We broadcast the 'Love / Hate 100'.... a selection of the worst songs ever as voted for by students. -   VIEW TOP 100
June - The station submit a successful proposal to the Union to construct a £25,000 new studio complex.
- A week of Surge socials including two trips to Thorpe Park, and a fantastic BBQ. -  VIEW RIDE PICTURE
July - Surge submits a record 22 entries for the 2005 Student Radio Awards. - VARIOUS ENTRIES
August - Alex Duffy is the last Surge DJ to broadcast a live show from the studio at Glen Eyre
September - Work on the new studio is well under way, and things begin to take shape.
October - Another successful Freshers' Week sees record numbers getting involved with the station.
- The new studios are opened with a small party, during which we broadcast the first show from studio 1.
- Surge attends the regional SRA nomination party, and receives 5 nominations!! - AWARDS PAGE
November - Surge interview Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe live on air during Late Night Love!!
- Surge picks up 2 golds at this years Student Radio Awards our best ever result!! - AWARDS PAGE
December - SurgeAid 2005 is recorded and played for the first time on the Christmas show -   VIEW LYRICS
January - The SRA announce Surge as the hosts of this years Student Radio Spring Conference
February - The 2006 Surge RSL is launched with the Kinki Turn-on, once again a huge success.
- More regular slots than ever before on FM! Chris Stark debuts at breakfast while Nick and Mogs are the sound of lunch.
- Surge News launches daily news bulletins daily at 1pm.
March - Elections Night Live is possibly our best ever OB, broadcasting live to a bar full of emotion-fueled campaign teams.
- The end of our most successful RSL yet, Surge is finally on the map!
- The station RSL wrap party and awards take place at the Students' Union, nearly 40 people turn up.
- The station elections see a new Station Manager take the reins, Alex Duffy leads the pack for another great year, from June.
